Paddling sessions and where we meet
The club hasÂ twoÂ "homes". These are our Club House at Colt Hill which isÂ on theÂ Basingstoke Canal near Odiham andÂ the QMC Sports Centre Swimming Pool, Basingstoke.Â
Our main Club night is Wednesday evening and is either at Colt Hill (summer) or QMC (winter). We will be re-starting ourÂ Wednesday QMC Pool sessions on 19th September.
Thoughout the year, when there are no other Club activities orgnaised, we also paddle atÂ Colt Hill on Saturday morningsÂ

BADCC is known locally as a social canoe club where all are welcome to learn, develop and experience open canoe and kayaking to whatever level you want. We take part in a wide range of paddling sports and have a great group of connectableÂ qualified coaches.
Discover Kayak Course
StartingÂ 27th February 2019
This course is aimed at those who have completedÂ the PaddlePower Passport or 1 Star or who have basic kayak handing shills. Â The course will compriseÂ threeÂ sessions in the Queen Mary's College Swimming Pool and three outdoor sessions on the Basingstoke canal at ourÂ Colt Hill Clubhouse, Odiham.Â Â
Foundation Safety and Rescue Training
Next Course Starting Wednesday 6th March 2019
The Club aims to run at least one FSRT each year: the next one will be inÂ March / May 2019
Suited to those of 2 or 3 Star standard who want to develop their foundation rescue skills.
BCU Aquatic First Aid Level 2
30th and 31st March 2019
This is the 16 hour first aid course and is being run in combination with a Level 1 course (attendance on the Level 1 course within the previous 4 weeks is a pre-requisite for the Level 2 course.)Â
Holding an 16 hour first aid qualification is a requirement forÂ British Canoeing Level 3 Coaches and new Level 2 coaches with moderate water endorsement.
